It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Nicole Altarelli, a beautiful soul whose light touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Born on April 8, 1994, Amy departed this world on January 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity.
Amy is survived by her devoted mother, Kelly McCollum (Tim Covert), and her loving father, Anthony Altarelli. She is also remembered with deep affection by her grandmothers, Lynn Altarelli and Catherine McCollum (the late Charles), whose love and guidance were cherished by Amy throughout her life. Despite being an only child, Amy was cherished by her 12 cousins, creating a bond that filled family gatherings with laughter, joy, and a unique camaraderie forged through shared childhood memories and experiences.
Amy was a free-spirited individual, and her vibrant energy brought joy to those around her. She had a heart of gold and was one of the kindest souls you'd ever meet. Her infectious laughter and warm smile could brighten even the darkest days, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of friends and family alike.
Her passion for art was a defining aspect of Amy's life. A talented artist, she poured her creativity onto canvas with every stroke of her brush. Amy's love for expression extended beyond the world of painting—she was enamored with music, and her eclectic taste reflected the depth of her spirit. Yet, it was in the art of tattooing that Amy found her true calling. Aspiring to be a tattoo artist, she sought to use her talents to create lasting memories and stories on the canvas of human skin.
In the midst of our grief, we find solace in knowing that Amy's spirit lives on through the selfless act of organ donation. Even in her passing, she continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
As we celebrate the life of Amy Nicole Altarelli, let us remember the beauty she brought into our lives and honor her memory by embracing the creativity, kindness, and free-spirited nature that defined her essence.
A funeral service to celebrate Amy's life will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9 am-11:00 am at King Funeral Service, 209 N.
