Colleen Witz Sharr

Colleen Witz Sharr passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024 surrounded by her family after a long battle with Lupus. She was born and raised in southwest Philadelphia, PA and later moved to Springfield, PA. Colleen graduated from Springfield High School in 2001 and went on to receive her Associate Degree at CHI Institute as a medical assistant. Upon graduation, she was hired at Lankenau Hospital where she worked for 12 years until she no longer could due to her debilitating illness. Colleen was a dedicated Eagles fan and loved Sunday dinners with family.

Colleen is survived by her caring and loving husband, Ed Sharr, her cherished son Mickey Sharr; her beloved parents Mickey and Anne (nee Little) Witz, and her sister Allison Witz (Thomas Kapusniak). She is also survived by her chosen brothers and sisters: Jerry (Shannon) Kelly, Erin (Jim) Thompson and Danny (Dana) Kelly. She is a beloved Aunt Queen to her only niece Louise, and 8 nephews Tommy, Cole, James, Danny, Nicky, Joey, Charlie, and Patrick.

Relatives and friends are asked to please wear color to Colleen's Celebration of Life. Her visitation will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am at King Funeral Service, 209 N. Newtown Street Road (Route 252), Newtown Square. Her funeral service will begin at 11:30 am.
