David C. Crines

David C. Crines, known by all as "Murphy", passed away on January 19, 2026 at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media. David was raised in Southwest Philly, St. Barnabas Parish. He was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1958. At West he lettered in track and eventually became a track official for the PIAA. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed sailing as a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club in Cape May, NJ. Murph was on the race committee at Corinthian and also was a member of the Aston JayCees, a service community group for young people. David was a forty year employee for Siemens retiring in 2004.

David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy E. (nee Primick). Dot and Murphy have known each other for over 70 years. He is also survived by  his daughter Heather Crines-Baginski. Grandfather of Kevin Baginski, Ryley Baginski and Ava Baginski. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday January 23, 2026 from 9:00am to 10:15am at Sacred Heart Church, 110 N. Manoa Road, Havertown, Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am. Interment to follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Murphy's name to Pathfinders for Autism would be appreciated.
