Earl "Bud" Duncan, age 88, passed away on November 25, 2019. Earl was born May 17, 1931 in Knoxville, Tennessee to William and Bessie (nee Cooter) Duncan. Bud left Knoxville and was stationed in Korea while he served in the Air Force from 1951-1954. While in England, Bud met his loving wife to be, Joyce King. They were married on July 4, 1953 in England.
Bud was a conductor for the CSX Railroad, local representative for the UTU (United Transportation Union), and member of the Collingdale Athletic Club for over 10 years. He enjoyed traveling, was an avid Elvis fan, an incredibly smooth dancer, and enjoyed every moment with his children and grandchildren especially their sporting events.
Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Joyce; his loving children Valerie (Paul) Marra, Bob (Anne), and Greg (Lori); caring grandfather of Jason, Meghan, Billy, Eric, Jenna, Julia, Gregory, Jake and Brooke; also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; and his siblings Jack Duncan, Iris Demeritt, Darnall Duncan and Barbara Cooper.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Earl's family on Saturday, November 30, from 9:30 am to 11 am at the King Funeral Home, 209 N. Newtown Street Road (Rt. 252), Newtown Square. Funeral Service to follow at 11 am. Inurnment at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association , 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 190106 would be appreciated.
