Eileen T. Danko (nee:Gallagher) 74 of Sharon Hill, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 20, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Michael P. Danko, Sr.. Eileen is the loving and devoted Mother to Amy McPeak (Mark) and Michael P Danko, Jr. (Jennifer). She is the adored “BaBa” to Jacqueline, Kaitlyn, and Natalie McPeak and Patrick and Charlotte Danko. She is the cherished sibling of Susan Gallagher and Eleanor Armstrong (Leonard). She is also survived by loving family members and countless friends. Eileen was welcomed at the gates of Heaven by her parents, Thomas J. and Eleanor Gallagher, her baby brother, Thomas Joseph III, and her Godson, George Edward Heinly, III
Born on September 1, 1947, Eileen was a devout Irish Catholic. She would always say a prayer for you. She loved talking about her Southwest Philadelphia roots. She was a proud graduate of Most Blessed Sacrament Grade School and West Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1965. She was honored to serve as the Class Treasurer in her Senior Year. Eileen greeted everyone she encountered with a smile and always a hug and a kiss. She was meticulous about her appearance. She will always be remembered for having her hair perfected, make up done, perfume sprayed, jewelry on, and her classy wardrobe (she always bragged that she got it on sale-never did she pay full price). Eileen wore many hats in her 74 years-whether it was scooping ice cream in Wildwood, her days at ARA, coaching track at Holy Spirit Grade school, merchandising shelves for Proctor and Gamble, being a groomer for Tipping School Photography, volunteering at Bryn Mawr Thrift Shop or taking care of her plants, she did it all with that gracious smile. However her most prestigious job was being an incredible and selfless Mom and BaBa to her children and grandchildren. There wasn’t a day of the week where she wouldn’t talk of her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Eileen on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Saint Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA.
