Eleanor M. Greener

Eleanor M. Greener, age 90, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024. Daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (nee Janescura) Greener. Predeceased in death by her siblings: Marie Lada, Harry Greener, and Anna Mayo. Eleanor is survived by her sister-in-law Lucille Greener, nieces and nephews.

Eleanor grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and was a 1952 graduate of John Bartram High School. She worked for many years in the office at Schmidt's Brewery on Girard Avenue. Eleanor's faith was important to her, she was a lifelong Catholic. She had a heart of gold always keeping in touch with family and friends, remembering their birthdays with a card, and was a caretaker for her parents and siblings. She loved to read, especially romance novels. If the family needed some information about the family tree and occasions, Eleanor was consulted, as she kept impeccable records. She put everyone's needs first before her own.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 9:30 am to 10:20 am at the Church of St. Bernadette, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Eleanor's Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Interment at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
