Elizabeth "Betty" Kyle

Elizabeth (nee Burke) Kyle, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 21, 2025 surrounded by her family.  Daughter of the late John Patrick Burke and Clara Agnes nee McKniff. Sister of the late Charles John Burke.

Betty was only six years old when her mother died from cancer in 1948. She immediately continued a lifetime filled with love and kindness, unselfishly provided by other family members. Betty and her brother were welcomed into the home of Mary Monica and William Claude Delaney and their children, John, Charles, Patricia and William. Betty was raised as their very own daughter. Betty married the love of her life Philip on November 28th, 1970.

Betty attended St. Clement Grade School and graduated West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Girls in1960. She received a college education and later became a teacher at Saint Barnabas Grade School in S.W. Philadelphia. She retired from Saint Barnabas School after 20 dedicated years.

Betty was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, Aunt and friend. Loving wife of Philip, and mother of James (Meg), William (Lisa), Mary (Joseph) and Elizabeth (Derek). Grandmother of Joseph, William, Kyleigh, Ashleigh, Carly, Andrew, Courtney and Morgan.

The Kyle Family would like to thank Dr, Edward Cikowski and the Main Line Health Hospice team for their exceptional care given to Betty during her illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from  9:30am to 10:45am  at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022. Betty's Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am. Interment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
