Eugene J. Carroll, Jr.

Eugene J. Carroll, Jr. age 80 on September 26, 2020 formerly of Southwest Philadelphia. Gene was a proud graduate of West Catholic Boys High School, Class of 1958. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. Gene was a proud Philadelphia Police Officer for over 30 years.  He retired from the Philadelphia Police Department in 1992 with a rank of Lieutenant.

Beloved husband of the late Mabel "May" (nee Ervin). Devoted father of Christine (John) Hooker, Eugene J. Carroll III, Patricia (Jim) Benz, and the late Eugene Robert. Loving Pop-Pop of Jessica (Phillip) Guld, Gabrielle Carroll and Macy Hooker. Great Grandfather of Oliver Eugene, Benjamin, Brynleigh and Jacob. Brother of Catherine Englert, Raymond Carroll and Joan Malloy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, October 1st, from 9:15 am to 10:15 am at Divine Mercy Parish (Good Shepherd Church), 6667 Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142. Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 am. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gene's memory to Samaritan Hospice would be appreciated.
