Henry V. Lyons, Jr.

Henry V. Lyons, Jr., age 66, of Havertown, died December 28, 2024. Son of Nancy (nee Burke) and the late Henry “Hank” V. Lyons, Sr. Henry was a devoted husband to his wife of 39 years, Cathy (nee McCormick) Lyons, and a loving father to Regina (Jake) and Laura (Pat). Henry treasured his family and was endlessly proud of his children. He dedicated his life to their happiness and success. Lovingly known as “Pop,” Henry is survived by his three grandchildren who adored him: Henry, Luke, and Ellie. Henry is also survived by his siblings: Ceil (John), Mary, Paul, Lisa (formerly married to Larry), Peggy (Dave), and Ed (Carolyn); and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory. Henry is preceded in death by his sister, Anne Creamer (nee Lyons).

Henry was known for his hard work and dedication, approaching everything he did with passion. He had a long career in meat management and merchandising, spending 50 years in the supermarket industry and mentoring many along the way. In his rare free time, he enjoyed staying active — whether at the gym, golfing, or most of all, cycling. Regardless of what he did, he always made an impact, particularly on the people he encountered.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 9 am until 10:45am at Sacred Heart Church Manoa, 110 N. Manoa Road, Havertown. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am. Interment after Mass at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
