Innocenza (Siciliano) Russo

Innocenza (nee Siciliano) "Cenza" Russo, age 91, passed away on December 12, 2021. Innocenza was born in Gasperina, Italy to Nicola and Anna Santa (nee Napoli) Siciliano on February 15, 1930. Cenza married her beloved husband, Francesco Russo on November 18,1951 and they were married over 62 years until his death in 2014. Together they raised their children, Elisabetta, Giovanni, and Anna Santa in Italy. In 1978, they moved their two youngest sons, Nicola and Luciano to the Overbrook section of West Philadelphia. Cenza loved to cook for her family, especially her sauce and beans in a clay pot. Food always needed to be very hot! She cherished teaching her Italian traditions and Christmas held a very important place in Cenza's heart.

Innocenza is survived by her beloved children Elisabetta (the late Saverio) Matozzo, Giovanni (Maria Louise) Russo, Anna Santa (Saverio) Carelli, Nicola (Gina) Russo and Luciano (Gina) Russo. Loving Nonna to 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Innocenza's viewing on Saturday from 9 am until 10:20 am at Saint Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Peter & Paul Cemetery where she will be reunited with her husband, Francesco.
