Jean M. (Alessandro) Fulginiti

Jean M. Fulginiti (nee Alessandro) age 88 passed away on July 2, 2022. Jean peacefully left this world to finally be reunited with her beloved husband, Dominic.

She was a graduate of John Bartram High School Class of 1951. Jean married her love, Dominic Fulginiti and together they started a family, raising three boys in South West Philadelphia until he passed at a young age in 1973.

Jean worked for many years in the Mercy Catholic Health System at Misericordia Hospital and Mercy Eastwick Medical Center to support her boys. After decades of living in Southwest Philadelphia, she moved to West Chester to be closer to her children and their families and eventually moved to Downingtown.

Jean loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Some of her favorite past-times were hanging out on the porch with her neighbors, people watching, game nights playing cards and relaxing on the beach. She loved a good party and you could always find her on the dance floor. She was a self-proclaimed chocoholic and enjoyed  indulging while watching some of her favorite shows. Jean was a great story-teller and an animal lover, especially of her Gypsy and Babette.

Jean was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Jean is survived by her devoted three sons: John Fulginiti (Dorothy), Daniel Fulginiti (Michele) and Dominic Fulginiti (Amy). Mom-mom of Gabrielle Fulginiti (Alex Poplar), Janine Donahue (Andrew), John Fulginiti (Dana), Dominic Fulginiti and Nicolas Fulginiti. Great mom-mom of Ryleigh, Kennedy and Mason Donahue.

Jean is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Mary (nee Pozzuto) Alessandro and her siblings Ralph Alessandro, Edward Alessandro and Rose Castagna.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday July 8th from 9:50 am to 10:50 am at SS. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
