John Joseph Condi, Sr.

John Joseph Condi Sr., 69, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Born in Philadelphia to Victor and Margaret Condi, John moved to Havertown as a child with his siblings, where he was raised. He attended Sacred Heart School, Cardinal O'Hara High School, and Drexel University. John built his career as an electrician, eventually going on to run multiple offices for the Harry F. Ortlip Company and Hatzel & Buehler.

John was happiest with a project in front of him. He had a true gift for home improvement and organization, and he brought that same energy to his hobbies — he loved playing tennis, admired cars, especially Corvettes, and enjoyed planning trips and traveling, particularly to Florida. A devoted member of the Catholic Church, he lived his Christian faith quietly and consistently. Above all, those who knew him remember his kindness and his sense of humor, which shone brightest around his wife, Susan.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; his mother, Margaret; his son, John Jr.; his daughter, Kristin; his siblings, Donna, Edward, Joseph, Suzanne, Michael, and Stephen; and his grandchildren, Brooke, John III, Max, Beau, and George. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor, and his brother, Victor.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Monday, September 28, 2026, at 9:00 AM until 10:20 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM and burial at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Pennsylvania Glioblastoma (GBM) Translational Center of Excellence Gift Fund.
