Kara Leigh Bennett

Kara Leigh Bennett, 28, from Glenolden, PA born on January 25, 1994 passed away suddenly on November 17, 2022 after a long battle with mitochondrial myopathy.

Kara is survived by her mother, Tiffany A. Henry and father, Matthew G. Bennett, brothers, Matthew J. Bennett, Christopher P. Bennett, grandmother (Mom-Mom) Karen Henry of Folsom, PA;  uncle, Pete Henry of Folsom, PA; aunt, Jaime Dowdell (Johnny) of Glen Mills, PA;  uncle, Jim Henry (Jessica) of Media, PA; aunt, Dorothy Bennett (Joe) of Norwood, PA; cousins George and Sophia Dowdell, Molly Dowling, Scarlett, Jimmy, and Mary Henry, Ellie Dowdell and her best friend Lindsey Dowling of Cinnaminson, NJ.

Kara suffered greatly during her life but never failed to have a sense of humor. She was a very giving and loving person.  A perfect day for her was being with the extended family. She especially loved being around her cousins and planning different fun things to do with them. Kara loved going to concerts with her friends. She loved planning vacations. She was very soft spoken and intelligent.  When she was little she loved to record herself and tell jokes and just be happy. Kara loved spending time at mom-mom's and the late Larry Henry’s. She stole their hearts from day one.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 10:00 am to 10:50 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane, PA 19018, Funeral Mass to follow at 11 am. Interment following Mass at St. Peter & Paul cemetery.
