Leo M. Stenson passed away suddenly on September 22, 2025, at the age of 75. He was the son of the late Leo and Rose Jean (nee Waters) Stenson. Growing up on Park Drive, Leo fondly recalled the adventures he shared with his sister Jeanne, especially baseball with neighborhood friends. He was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Fatima Grade School, Cardinal O'Hara High School, he received a Bachelor's Degree from LaSalle University, and a Master's Degree from Widener University. It was during his years at Cardinal O'Hara that Leo met Loretta, the love of his life.
Leo enjoyed a successful career as an auditor, with over 30 years of service at Bryn Mawr Trust Bank. In his retired years, he shared his knowledge as a part-time professor of accounting and auditing at Rosemont College, Chestnut Hill College, and Saint Joseph's University and also worked as an accounting auditor for his son's company, L&M/Peach Warehouse.
One of Leo's greatest joys was being an active part of his children's lives. Coaching, refereeing, watching his beloved Eagles and Phillies, and becoming a grandfather were among his favorite things.
Leo is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta V. Stenson (Miller); his five loving children: Leo M. Stenson, Jr, Brendan Stenson (Samantha), James Stenson (Danielle), David Stenson (Samantha), and Lorianne Stenson.; his adored four granddaughters: Leah, Nora, Maeve, and Hailey Rose; his sister, Jeanne Carroll (Steve) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at St. Pius X Church in Broomall, PA, from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM. Leo's Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am. Interment to follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
