Lorraine Ann Colgan (nee Coppolino), 88 of Glen Mills, PA. Beloved Wife of Deacon Francis Colgan. Daughter of the late Michael and Anna Coppolino. Devoted Mother of Eileen Polito (Anthony Jr.), John, James (Lori), and Carol Fleming (Matthew), loving Grandmother of Anthony III, Michelle, Matthew, Alexis, James Jr., Madeleine and Evelyn, and Great Grandmother of Abigail, Caroline, David, Robert, and Samantha. Beloved sister of Marlene McCabe and brother Ronald (Maureen) Coppolino.
Born in Philadelphia, Lorraine attended Girls High '53 and graduated from Temple University '56 (Education). She taught at Bell Avenue School in Yeadon, PA, and was a long-time member of the Delaware County Community College Chorus. Lorraine was a long-time parishioner of St. Anastasia Parish in Newtown Square and studied with Frank in the Diaconate Program at St. Charles Seminary. She enjoyed playing bridge and Mah Jong, art, music and the theatre. Lorraine devoted her life to her husband and family, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday morning, June 28 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. in the church. Internment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lorraine's memory can be made in her name to St. Anastasia Parish , 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
