Maria (Gil) Herrera

Maria Herrera (nee Gil) entered into eternal life on September 16, 2024 at the age of 98. Wife of the late Jorge Enrique Herrera. Beloved Mother of Jorge Andres Herrera. Loving grandmother of George Herrera. Sister of Jorge Eliecer Gil of Medellin, Colombia and the late Myriam Williams, Gabriela Gil, Ligia Gil, Fanny Gil, and Agusto Gil. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maria was born in Pensilvania, Caldas, Colombia, South America. She lived most of her life in Colombia, South America but has made many visits to the Philadelphia area over the years. Over this past year, she lived with her son in Glenolden, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 9:30 am until 10:20 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane. Maria's Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Interment at a later date.
