Marie Genevieve Pavese

Marie Genevieve Pavese (nee Blourne), 94, of Cape May Courthouse, died January 14, 2017 in Media, PA.   Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Pavese also resided in Philadelphia for 74 years before moving to Cape May Court House, New Jersey.   She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. Pavese was an alumni of the first graduating class of John Bartram High School in 1939. She worked for Silo Corporation before retiring in 1987. After retiring, she enjoyed her days “Down the Jersey Shore”, being an active parishioner and a Saintly Sweeper at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in CMCH, NJ.   Mrs. Pavese was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Daulton) Blourne and was also predeceased by her brothers Charles, Louis and James Blourne and her sisters Dorothy Horan (Edward) and Joan DiMarcello (Anthony), her son Charles Pavese who died in 2006 and granddaughter Brianna Marie Bowen.   Surviving are a son Daniel Pavese (Sally) of Villas, NJ, a son Robert Pavese (Janine) of Lincoln University, PA and a daughter Lois Bowen (Charles) of Media, PA, her sister Elizabeth Baldwin (Albert) of Aston, PA, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many loving nieces and nephews.   In lieu of flowers, please donate to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.   The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 21 at 11 am at Our Lady of Angels, Cape May Court House, NJ. Internment Private at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
