Michael J. Mooney, III age 51 on October 11, 2016 of Wilkes-Barre, PA formerly of Southwest Philadelphia. A marine vet and an avid fisherman and hunter. Father of Michael J. IV (Vicki), Sean and Geoffrey. Also survived by 3 grandchildren. Son of Michael and the late Margaret (nee Hogg). Brother of Marie (Anthony) Salvato and Megan (Craig) Derr. Uncle of Anthony Salvato. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday 9 am to 10:50 am at King Funeral Service, 209 N. Newtown Street Road (Route 252), Newtown Square. Funeral Service to follow at 11 am. Interment at a future date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wilkes-Barre VAMC Community Living Center would be most appreciated as Michael lived at the facility with his vet friends for the last year of his life.
