Paul T. Mclaughlin

Paul T. McLaughlin of Lansdowne (formerly of Southwest and West Philadelphia) passed away peacefully in his home on November 27, 2023. Paul was the beloved husband and best friend of wife Bernadette McLaughlin (Cook) for 47 years. Dear father, to Timothy (Christina) and William (Christine) and the late Megan Rose. Cherished Grampypops to Payton, Lilly, Declan, and the anticipated Baby McLaughln in January 2024. Survived by sister Patricia Clear (late James), John McLaughlin (Vicky), and sister in laws Maryann and Rosanne. Predeceased by parents William and Elizabeth, brothers William, Dennis, Michael (Quack), and Donald. He is also survived by many loving sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and lifelong cherished friends Block, Moose, Michael D, and Andy among many others.

Paul was born in Philadelphia and attended St. Francis DeSales grade school and West Catholic High School for boys. Paul spent many of his happiest years surrounded by his family and friends in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. He loved to sit out on the porch and watch the thunderstorms. Paul was quiet, but humorous and loved by many. He had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. He enjoyed his Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Flyers and Eagles. Paul was very proud of both of his sons and the lives they have made for themselves. He was especially proud of his grandchildren’s academic and sports achievements along with being frequently amused by his youngest grandson’s shenanigans. Paul will be greatly missed by those that love him but will forever live on through his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Paul’s life on Monday December 4th at King Funeral Home, 209 North Newtown Street Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073 beginning at 9:30 am with the Memorial Ceremony starting at 11:00 am.
