Russell "Koot" Kutys

Russell "Koot" Kutys, 68, of Bear, DE passed away suddenly on September 24, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Russ was born on August 4, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA to Stanley and Helen Kutys. He graduated from West Catholic High School in 1976. On September 27, 1980, he married the love of his life, Linda. Together they built a warm and welcoming home where the door was always open.

Russ worked for over 25 years as an Industrial Salesman where he supplied equipment to companies all over the area and eventually, retired from Kaman Industrials in 2023. Russ was a dedicated sports fan that religiously followed each Philly team. He never missed his children's sporting games or musical events. He loved his dogs and family very much.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Kutys; his children: Renee Kutys and Russell Kutys (Carly); and his grandson, Lawrence Kutys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Helen. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Russell's visitation on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 10 am until 10:50 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am with interment taking place after Mass at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell's name to the Brandywine SPCA, would be appreciated.
