Shirley M. (Brown) Tynan

Shirley M. Tynan, age 93, passed away on December 25, 2022. Wife of the late Frank J. Tynan who died in 2017. Shirley and Frank lived in Glenolden but were originally from Philadelphia. Loving mother of Cynthia Crowley (Ed), Frank J. Jr. and Lisa Tynan-Stepens (Matt). Grandmother of Alexa, Maureen and the late Dennis. Great grandmother of Coco. Also survived by two sisters Joan Moore and Annie Wilkins.

Shirley was born and raised in Norfolk, VA, one of fourteen children to Joseph and Clara Brown. She married Frank Tynan, who was born and raised in Philadelphia, and decided to raise their family in Philadelphia. She worked as a sales clerk for a short time but family was very important to Shirley and became a devoted homemaker raising her three children.
