Stella (D'Orazio) Devoy

Stella (nee D'Orazio) DeVoy, age 100, passed away on April 19, 2023. Stella was raised in South Philadelphia until her teen years, when her family moved to West Philadelphia in St. Donato's Parish. Eventually, she and her husband Joe bought their home in Glenolden where she lived for almost fifty years. Stella worked for many years as a seamstress in many tailor shops throughout the city. She loved to dance, enjoyed baking and spending time with the "Three Amigo's"; herself, Jeanne Sciocchetti and Sydney Gay Sulpizio. Stella enjoyed life to the fullest and maybe that was why she lived so long! She will be missed by many.

Stella was predeceased by her husbands: Richard A. Piroli Sr. and Joseph DeVoy; and her two sons: Richard A. Piroli Jr. and Ronald Piroli. She is survived by her four grandchildren: Richard Piroli, Ronald Piroli Gina Krick and Audra Gavannha. Stella is also survived by nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday April 24, 2023 from 9:15am to 10:15am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane, PA 19018, Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow Mass at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA 19064.
