Thomas J. Glacken, Jr

Thomas J. Glacken, Jr. passed away January 28, 2020 at the age of 69. Thomas was a proud Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He received several medals of honor including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He resided at the VA Nursing Home in Philadelphia where he was honored to be a member of the Honor Guard. He and fellow Honor Guard members showed fellow veterans their gratitude and respect upon their passing. Thomas received the same honors, he so proudly bestowed on others, after his passing on Tuesday evening.

Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved parents Thomas J. and Mary T. Glacken and his sister Eileen Krout. Thomas is survived by his sister Mary Jean (James) Gilbert. Nieces Jennifer (Matthew)Hoffmann, Dianne (Michael) Lang and nephew Todd (Roxy) Krout. Great nephews Brendan, Connor, Alexander and Wyatt.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, February 3 from 9:30 am to 10:20 am at St. Barnabas Church, 6300 Buist Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
