Thomas Patrick McGee, Sr., 82, of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Thom was a devoted husband who shared 58 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rosemary, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and family. Together, they raised three children who will forever carry his values and strength. He was a loving father to Theresa (Michael) Flaherty, Thomas, Jr. (Doris) McGee, and Christine (Troy) Cullinan.
Thom’s life was engrained in his family. He treasured every moment with his grandchildren - Seamus, Colin, Brendan, Macy, Ryan, Christian and Emma. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren grow, celebrating their milestones and cherishing every moment with them.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Thom was the youngest of seven. He grew up in a close-knit family, a bond that remained central throughout his life. He is now reunited with his parents, Joseph and Louise McGee, and his siblings Joseph, Carolyn, Francis, Edward (Bud), Marie, and Louise (Sister Marita Louise, IHM). Thom is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Thom attended St. Barnabas Grade School and West Catholic High School, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to service and dedication.
Thom spent much of his early career as a photo engraver and later worked for many years as a Realtor. His passions included photography, trips to Wildwood - especially Burrs on the Beach and Irish Weekend, being a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, and cheering on his Philadelphia sports teams.
Thom found joy in the simple things: good food and good company, specifically at home in the backyard. Known for his “gift of storytelling”, he never missed an opportunity to gather around the table with those he loved.
A lifelong, passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Thom was a season ticket holder for over 58 years and wore his Kelly green with pride. Tailgating with friends and family was a highlight of his Sundays. Go Birds!
Thom will be remembered for his warm heart, his devotion to family, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to Thom's viewing on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 9:00 - 10:45 A.M. at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Avenue, Boothwyn. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple, PA.
