Anthony J. Salvato

Anthony J. Salvato age 83 died peacefully at his son Anthony's home on Sunday November 1, 2020. Formerly of Southwest Philly and the Villas, NJ. Anthony worked for years at PGW as a gas processor operator before retiring in 1995. Beloved husband of the late Henrietta (nee Gaynor) who died in 1998 after 26 years of marriage. Beloved father of Anthony (Marie) Salvato, Daniel (Sherry) Salvato and Andrea Salvato. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Veronica, Matthew, Justin, Brianna, Anthony and 3 great grandchildren Jackson, Wyatt and Azalea. Brother of Joseph Salvato and the late Henry and Daniel Salvato. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anthony was born and raised in South Philadelphia in the "devil's pocket' section which he was quite proud of. Anthony fixed everything around the house with duct tape and this was before the TV show  "MacGyver". He loved his home down in the Villas, NJ especially his swimming pool in the back yard. He enjoyed going to the casinos, the horse races, old western movies, anything Frank Sinatra sang and many times relaxing just watching the Cape May Ferry near his home. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, November 6th from 10:30am to 11:20am St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Live stream will start about 5 minutes before Mass begins. Interment will be in the future at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cold Springs, NJ where Anthony will be reunited with his wife Henrietta.

Masks are required in church and COVID restrictions will be followed.
