Edward Charles Partridge Jr.

Edward Charles Partridge Jr., age 89, passed away on January 25, 2021.  Ed was the son of the late Edward Charles Partridge Sr. and Mary (nee Balentine) Partridge.  Ed was married to the love of his life, Barbara (nee Passer) for over 62 years.  They have the most beautiful love story that will last forever.  

Ed grew up in South Philadelphia and graduated from John Bartram High School.  He is an Army veteran who served his country in Korea.  Ed was a service technician with Sears for almost 30 years and previously worked for Gulf Oil. 

Ed was a gentleman and a very caring person who always treated others with love and respect.  His complete devotion to his faith, family and friends is the legacy that he leaves behind and an example for all others to follow.  Ed always said that he had a very good life and had no regrets.    

Ed was a loving father to Edward C. Partridge III (Marie Therese), Christine Norton (Peter) and Stephen Partridge.  He was father-in-law to the late Kate Partridge.  Devoted grandfather to Carla (Brandon), Eddie IV (Janeen), Kevin (Samantha), Michelle, Katie, Tina and Kevin Claffey (after son Edward married Marie Therese).   Adoring great grandfather to Sophia, Eddie V, Chloe, Jackson, Billy, Madison, Sean and Max.  Ed leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be facilitated by King Funeral Service in Newtown Square, PA.  Ed will be interred at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery on February 9, 2021.  Due to the current environment, funeral services will be conducted at grave site and attended by family only.  Family should meet at the funeral home at 12 noon for procession leaving for the cemetery at 12:30 PM.
