Joan E. (Berte) Colsher

Joan E. (Berte) Colsher age 72, of Newtown Square, PA passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021. Joan was born and raised in Upper Darby, PA and was the beloved daughter of the late John and Esther Berte and her late brother, Edward Crawford Sr. She was a graduate of Upper Darby High School class of 1967. Joan worked for Norcross in administration, then later earning her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed working with children at CHOP and later caring for the elderly at West Chester Arms nursing home. She enjoyed many years as a child in Tuckerton Beach, NJ so much that she retired there. She had a love for boating, fishing and spending anytime by the water with family and friends. Joan had a love for music, was an avid reader and enjoyed many hobbies such as ceramics, crocheting, and needle point. She loved cooking and was especially talented at baking specialty cakes and cookies for all to enjoy. She will always be remembered for her kind, loving and caring nature, and her devotion to family.

Joan is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Colsher of 52 years, her loving children, Sherry Wright (Stas), Sandy Dreger (Art), Tommy Colsher (Heidi), and Brian Colsher. She is also survived by and cherished her eleven Grandchildren Ashlee, Kayla, Krista, Alli, A.J., Tommy, Taylor, Cierra, Haley, Brian and Alexis as well as her three great grandchildren Liam, Jace and Alina.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation at 9:15 am until 10:20 am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 am.
