Mary I. (Cloran) Pease

Mary Immaculata Pease (nee Cloran), 89, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2021. She is the loving and devoted mother to Kathleen Monte (David), Mary Ann Pease, Joseph Pease, Susan Gardner (Steven), and Brian Pease (Ann Cinque). She is the adored Nan to Matthew and Clare Monte, Audrey Gardner, and Evie Pease. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, countless friends, including surviving members of her sorority, and her devoted companion during her time of illness, Joseph Pease, Sr.  Mary was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Alice and John Cloran, Kathleen Allard, her sister, John and William Cloran, her brothers, and Margaret and Joseph Pease, her loving in-laws.

Born on December 8, 1932, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Mary was a devout Catholic and had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother. Saying a Hail Mary was her “go to” prayer and she was always willing to say one for anyone in need. She was a proud graduate of Most Blessed Sacrament grade school and West Catholic High School, Class of 1950. Mary greeted everyone she encountered with a smile! 

Mary was a long-time parishioner and volunteer at Good Shepherd parish, raising her family in Southwest Philadelphia. She then was a communicant at St. Andrew parish in Drexel Hill for several years. Mary worked as a bank teller before her marriage and then again at Elmwood Federal Savings after she raised her family.  Mary was an avid bowler for many years and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. 

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Mary on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. Her visitation is at 9:30AM followed by Mass in her honor at 11AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with other family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106 .
