Mary Ellen (Squitiere) Paris

Mary Ellen Paris (Squitiere) was welcomed into heaven on July 17, 2021, at the age of 64. Mary Ellen was mother to her two daughters Helen and Joan Paris, who were her pride and joy.

Mary Ellen was born on May 10, 1957. One of six children born to Hank and Kitty (Hanlon) Squitiere, Mary Ellen grew up in the Northeast section of Philadelphia in a large, loving family with four sisters and one brother. She attended St. Jerome’s grade school and then various public schools (Pollock, Torresdale and Jacobs).

Mary Ellen attended PATH (People Acting To Help) for much of her adult life. At one time, she helped out in the canteen at PATH which she very much enjoyed.

Mary Ellen enjoyed doing puzzles, watching TV, listening to music, coloring and playing games (especially Trouble and UNO).

Besides her daughters, Mary Ellen is survived by sisters Catherine Wesemann (Ronald), Roseanne Magolda (Charles), Regina Ryan (Michael), Joan Vellucci and brother Charles Squitiere (Jeannine), many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her father Anthony Squitiere, her mother Catherine (Kitty) (Hanlon) and her ex-husband Timothy Paris.

Family and friends are invited to Mary Ellen’s funeral service on Saturday, July 24th at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1239 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. which will be followed by a luncheon. Her burial will be private. The service will be live streamed on St. Peter’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpeteschestersprings.com) and posted to the church’s website for later viewing (https://www.stpeterschestersprings.org/wordpress/sermons/).
