Michael Farrington

Michael Farrington suddenly entered into eternal life on September 18, 2023 at the very young age of 42. Michael was the devoted father of Christian Michael Farrington. He was the beloved son of Robert and Lena (nee McCardell) Farrington; the loving brother of Robert Jr. (Kate) and also 4 nephews: Ethan, Sean, Robert III and Henry.

Michael loved all Philly sports: the Phillies, Sixers, Flyers, Eagles, and LaSalle Explorer basketball.  Having been an outstanding soccer player in his younger days, he also was a big fan of the Philadelphia Union.  Mike worked tirelessly helping to improve Christian's soccer and baseball skills, and he was a proud attendee at literally every one of Christian's baseball and soccer practices and games. 

Mike cherished weekends in Wildwood with Christian.  He and Christian were avid regular customers of the piers, the rides, the water parks, the arcades and Sam's Pizza on the Boardwalk.  He loved Halloween and Christmas, as clearly evidenced by the volume of decorations for the holidays in his tiny NE Philly apartment.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Tuesday, September 26, from 9 am to 10:45 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064.  Michael’s Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am. Interment at a later date.

In honoring Michael’s memory, in lieu of flowers, contributions to Christian’s education can be made to his grandparents.
