Obituary

Michael J. Petrick age 98 died peacefully at his home in North Wildwood, NJ on October 17, 2021. Formerly of Southwest Philadelphia. Mike was a retired employee of PGW and from Wells Fargo Center where he was a security guard. Mike was a WWII Navy vet and when he lived in Southwest Philly was an active member of the American Legion Roche Post. He was also a member of the Polish American String Band for over 31 years. Mike loved his model trains at Christmas time and enjoyed assembling model airplanes. He also loved to sing and play the harmonica to all the family and kids. 

Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Lamont). Devoted father of Mary Rutherford (Ken), Marge Burke, Ronnie Cariola, Liz Salvato (Hank) and Michael Petrick (Gina). Loving pop pop of 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great granchildren. The family wishes to thank his caretaker Melba Colter for her loving and devoted care to their father. Mike was one of fourteen in his family growing up and was the last surviving sibling.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday October 23rd from 9:15am to 10:45am at St. Barnabas Church, 6300 Buist Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142. Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
