Susan C. (McBride) Kreczkevich

Susan C. Kreczkevich (nee McBride) passed away at her home on June 13, 2023. Sue lived her whole life in Southwest Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (nee McCardell) McBride. Sue was the loving and devoted wife of Deacon John Kreczkevich who died on April 5th. Sue is survived by her loving and devoted son Alex and many nieces and nephews. 

Susan was a lifelong member of St. Barnabas Parish and was dedicated not only to the church but also the school in which she volunteered for many years. Sue also supported the parish carnival in any capacity that was needed. She worked for the Philadelphia Court System for over 30 years before retiring. Sue always seemed to have a smile on her face and loved to stop to talk with neighbors and friends. She was an avid reader, loved visiting the shore, and was a passionate shopper. Sue had developed dementia in the last couple of years but still  had that big smile on her face whenever she saw you. She has been reunited with her husband John but we will all miss her greatly. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday June 20, 2023 from 9:15am to 10:15am at St. Barnabas Church, 6300 Buist Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142. Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Barnabas Church, 6300 Buist Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19142 would be appreciated.
