Teresa Rita (Galanaugh) McGee

Teresa Rita McGee (nee Galanaugh) passed peacefully on Aptil 20, 2022 at her home in Concord Township at the age of 94. Formally of Primos, PA, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. McGee. Loving mother of Joseph A. McGee Jr. (Grace), Mary McGee-Kristal (Jerry), Patricia McGee-Albany (William) and Martin G. McGee (Carol). Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Known by many as "Rita" she was born in 1927 to Joseph and Veronica Galanaugh of West Philadelphia and attended Most Blessed Sacrament parish grade school and West Catholic High School for Girls. She was a graduate of the Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School and spent her nursing career caring for infants at the Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital Maternity Ward. She and her husband Joe were married for 62 years and spent their adult lives as active members of St. Eugene parish in Primos, PA. She was an avid reader of spy, crime and mystery novels and was know for her quick wit and dry sense of humor. Teresa will be dearly missed by her family and good friends at Maris Grove. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday April 25, 2002 from 9:20am to 10:20am at St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Avenue, Primos, PA 19018. Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
